South Asian Network stands in solidarity with survivors of sexual violence on this Denim Day. Denim Day signifies a movement that was sparked following the overturning of an Italian Supreme Court case where the court felt that since a rape victim was wearing tight jeans, she must have helped the person, implying consent. This decision led to a widespread campaign to bring awareness to victim blaming and other myths around sexual violence. You can read more about Denim Day at www.denimday.org
