Ritu Mahajan Estes is a Directing Attorney at Public Counsel, a leading public interest legal services provider in Los Angeles. Ritu & her team provide free legal services to community-serving small businesses and nonprofits throughout LA County. Like many of her clients, Ritu’s parents are immigrant small business owners & as a consequence, she has deep empathy and understanding of the clients and the communities she serves. Ritu is an incredible leader and mentor to younger attorneys, and her community involvement extends beyond her role at Public Counsel. She received her BA in Economics and Political Science from UC Irvine and her JD from UC Berkeley Law School.
