This role combines front-office administration with direct public benefits support. The Administrative Assistant/Public Benefits Coordinator serves as a primary point of contact for community members while assisting with benefits applications and office operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome community members, conduct intakes, and respond to service inquiries
- Assist clients with public benefits applications (e.g., Medi-Cal, CalFresh, CalWORKS)
- Provide interpretation/translation support as needed
- Support office operations, records, supplies, and equipment
- Assist with outreach, tabling, and SAN-hosted events and workshops
