The Accountant oversees SAN’s financial operations, ensuring strong fiscal management, compliance with grant and regulatory requirements, and accurate financial reporting. This role works closely with leadership to support organizational sustainability and financial integrity.
Key Focus Areas:
Accounting & Financial Management:
- Maintain financial records, oversee transactions, and manage the general ledger
- Process payments, deposits, and credit card activity; perform monthly reconciliations
AP/AR & Payroll:
- Manage accounts payable/receivable and biweekly payroll
- Process retirement contributions and ensure compliance
Grant Management:
- Develop and manage grant budgets
- Track expenses, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with funder requirements
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for leadership and board
- Support quarterly and annual reporting
Audits & Budgeting:
- Support audits, tax prep, and year-end close
- Assist with organizational budgeting and expense tracking
Compliance & Operations:
- Maintain financial policies and internal controls
- Support benefits administration and cross-department financial needs
