Nadia is a public health professional and certified health education specialist with a passion for serving diverse and marginalized communities. Born and raised in Southern California, she grew up in the rich cultural fabric (and consuming the delicious food) of her Pakistani, Ladakhi, and South Indian heritage and is fluent in Urdu. She received her Bachelor’s in Public Health Policy from UC Irvine and a Masters in Public Health from CSU Fullerton with an emphasis in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention and has experience working in gerontology, licensing and compliance, college health, sexual health, and epidemiology. Nadia is thrilled to join SAN as a Program Coordinator in the Community Health Action Initiative (CHAI) Unit. She is able to assist with public benefit enrollment like Medi-Cal and Covered California, provide enhanced Case Management for Seniors, and conduct culturally informed health education workshops. She is honored to serve the South Asian community as we strive for physical, social, spiritual, and mental wellbeing. She is grateful for the opportunity to support the South Asian community in their journey toward holistic well-being across physical, social, spiritual, and mental health dimensions.
