This role blends front-office administration with direct public benefits support. The Administrative Assistant/Public Benefits Coordinator serves as a welcoming first point of contact for community members while supporting access to essential public benefits and smooth office operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet community members, conduct intakes, and respond to service inquiries
- Assist clients with public benefits applications, including Medi-Cal, CalFresh, and CalWORKS
- Provide interpretation and translation support, as needed
- Support daily office operations, including records management, supplies, and equipment
- Assist with community outreach, tabling, and SAN-hosted events and workshops
